Statement of Faith
These beliefs express the faith of Word of Prayer Ministries International Church.
Scripture
The Scriptures are the infallible Word of God. We believe the Bible from Genesis to Revelation without compromise.
God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit
There is one God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
Jesus Christ
Jesus is the only Son of God. We believe in His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, vicarious and atoning death, bodily resurrection, ascension to the right hand of God the Father, and personal return to this earth in all power and glory.
Sin and atonement
All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. The only atonement for our sins is through the blood of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
The Holy Spirit
We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
The return of Jesus Christ
We believe in the premillennial second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ: first, to resurrect the righteous dead and to catch away the living saints to meet Him in the air (the Rapture); and second, to reign on the earth a thousand years.
Resurrection and judgment
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost: the saved to everlasting life and the lost to eternal judgment.
