Prayer requests
Requests are emailed to Dexter and Amanda and stored in the ministry’s WordPress Forms inbox. Dexter and Amanda are the ministry’s authorized readers. Requests are used for prayer and, if you provide an email address, a response. Submitting a request does not subscribe you to ministry emails or give permission to publish your story.
The ministry’s retention period is 30 days. Dexter and Amanda manage deletion from the WordPress Forms inbox and Trash and from both ministry email inboxes and Trash. This is a manual ministry process, not an automatic deletion feature.
The form asks for your prayer request and acknowledgement. A first name or initials and a reply email are optional. Please avoid sensitive details about other people and identifying information about protected overseas ministry partners. Contact amanda@wordofprayer.com with a question about your request or to ask for earlier deletion.
WordPress.com and our email services process information to provide these services. The 30-day ministry routine covers copies in our Forms and email inboxes and their Trash folders; it is not a claim about service-provider logs or backup retention. Word of Prayer Ministries values the privacy and trust of all our donors and supporters. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you make a donation, purchase ministry resources, or otherwise interact with us online.
Information We Collect
When you give through our website, we may collect the following information:
- Name and contact details (email address, phone number, mailing address)
- Donation amount, date, and payment method
- Optional notes you provide (e.g., prayer requests)
Payment Information:
We do not collect or store your full payment details. All donations are processed securely by our payment provider, Stripe, which is PCI-DSS compliant. Stripe may collect and process payment information such as your card number, expiration date, CVC code, and billing address.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Process donations and purchases
- Provide receipts and year-end contribution statements
- Communicate ministry updates, events, and opportunities (if you opt in)
- Respond to your questions or prayer requests
- Maintain accurate financial records for the ministry
How We Protect Your Information
- All donations done through Buy Me a Coffee are encrypted and processed through Stripe’s secure payment system.
- We never sell, rent, or trade your personal information with third parties.
- Access to donor data is limited to authorized ministry staff and only for official purposes.
Sharing of Information
We may share necessary information with:
- Stripe, our payment processor, to complete your transactions
- Government or legal authorities if required by law
We do not share your information with marketers, advertisers, or unrelated third parties.
Donor Rights
As a donor, you have the right to:
- Request a copy of the information we hold about you
- Update or correct your information
- Opt out of receiving ministry updates or communications
- Request removal of your personal data, except where retention is required by law (e.g., donation records for tax purposes)
