About Dexter Sherrell
Allow me to introduce Dexter Sherrell, an extraordinary individual whose journey embodies resilience, leadership, and unwavering dedication to community upliftment. Dexter’s remarkable story, filled with triumph over adversity and a commitment to service, serves as a beacon of inspiration for all. From his involvement in the Fanconi Anemia Adult Council to his remarkable journey of resilience, Dexter Sherrell’s life story exemplifies the power of God and His compassion. Diagnosed with Fanconi anemia at the age of 45, Dexter faced his health challenges head-on, undergoing a transplant at Memorial Sloan Kettering in August 2020. Despite battling low white blood counts from late childhood into early adulthood, he courageously served in the United States Air Force, demonstrating his commitment to duty and service.
Transitioning from military service to the manufacturing industry, Dexter continued to defy odds and pursue excellence. He furthered his education, earning degrees in Business Administration and Ministry Leadership, eventually establishing himself in the business world as a successful entrepreneur. Beyond his professional endeavors, Dexter Sherrell finds fulfillment in encouraging others and sharing his faith and health journey through ministry and speaking engagements. As a proud descendant of the Creek nation through his mother, Dexter cherishes his heritage and strives to make a positive impact within his community.
